⓿ A Prayer to Giraffe Consciousness — Dear Giraffe, may your name be honoured; May the pathway to your realm of infinite Love and Wisdom be opened, and may your vision be realised on earth as it is in the Giraffe Land. May our needs for Subsistence and Meaning be met, may we transcend the life-alienating language of right and wrong into the life-enriching language of feelings and needs. May we distract ourselves from instant gratification, and may we be protected from life-alienation. Amen
❶ Dear Giraffe, full of compassion, the Spirit of Life is with thee; respected art thou amongst animals, and respected is the fruit of thy wisdom, Nonviolent Communication and Unity+ Consciousness. Oh Wonderful Giraffe, Mother of Kindness, help us find beautiful strategies when some needs of some beings aren’t met, now and at the moment of our last breath. Amen.

The Giraffe was chosen as symbol for NVC as its long neck is supposed to show the clear-sighted speaker, being aware of his fellow speakers’ reactions; and because the Giraffe has a large heart, representing the compassionate side of NVC.
